1 Peter Update
An Apology
I have been so bad about blogging lately! I promised posts about CHIC in this post, but have yet to post them. Those will hopefully be up by the end of the year! ;) In my last post I promised a fall fashion look book. That will hopefully be up next week. But I'm not promising anything. It has been really hot so I don't feel like going out and taking pictures in warm clothes in this heat! It has cooled down this week so hopefully that will get done this weekend.
Remember that Bible study I talked about? Yeah, I have yet to post an update! To be quite honest with you, I fell a week behind. I ended up just skipping it all together. I will explain that in the update later this week.
Please bug me if I haven't posted for awhile!! Is there anything you want to see on my blog?
Until next time

Fall Style Staples
My Fifteen Staples:
Brown Riding Boots
Black Maxi Skirt. Yes, it can be worn year round. :)
Flannel
Cute Jacket. Mine is a linen material, but it looks like denim.
Comfy, nice-looking jeans.
Cardigan
Comfortable flats. These are Keens.
A nice short sleeve shirt
A classic cross-body bag.
Tank Top
Denim Skirt
Tights. Mine are lined!
Button down. This one only buttons half way.
Dainty necklace. You can't even see it! It is Wisconsin, bu the way. :)
Thin brown belt
These are obviously customize-able to fit your style. I recommend not just having one tank top or one pair of tights/leggings. But getting multiple in different colors! They will be used often, I promise! When you buy a staple, make sure it is classic, fits you well, and is good quality! My riding boots, for example, are not the best quality. I got them at Charlotte Russe for $25 last year and this will probably be my last year with them. Everything else is pretty good quality, especially my flats! Those should last a few more years!
Here are few extras you could add to your wardrobe:
A long sleeve tee. These are awesome when you don't really feel like put much into getting dressed.
Tennis Shoes. To go with those casual days! (And exercising)
A non-slip headband in a neutral color. This one supports Amazima Ministries! banded2gether.com
A comfortable dress. This one is technically a summer dress, but it is super comfortable (and cute!) with leggings, boots, and sweater!
Next week I will be sharing how to wear all of these staples! What are some of your staples? Did I miss anything important?

Life Update
Well, hello! I know, it's been a while! I'm here today to give a life update and to look ahead to the future.
The last few months have been pretty crazy! I went to Joyful Noise (an outdoor Christian concert festival) and camp in June. And I had band but that's not too exciting! :)
In July I had more band (surprise! surprise!) And went to CHIC!!! (More on CHIC soon!) And VBS!!!
Besides all of that I haven't done much. Sadly!
Now looking ahead!
August brings more band and church stuff. School starts in September. September an October bring band competitions. And November brings an awesome opportunity! We are going to China!! And Niagara Falls on the way there! I will probably do a series leading up to China.
Also, I will be posting (hopefully!) Once a week for a Bible study on here! It is a study through 1st and 2nd Peter by Love God Greatly! I'm super excited!
I apologize for all of the exclamation points. :) What's your life been like lately?

"Emergency" Bag/What I Keep with Me
There is a smaller bag and a larger bag. The larger bag includes the smaller bag, too. If I am using a smaller bag/purse one day I will have the small bag/kit. And if I am using a large bag/purse I will use the larger bag/kit.
- Tissues
- Ear buds I keep these with me because sometimes I need them to listen to music, but I also need them for when I am on praise team (I was really good at forgetting them before I added them to my kit!) I made the case from this pattern. Mine doesn't look as good as hers. :)
- Gum
- Band-aid
- Little hair clip
- Christmas tree brush to clean in between my braces
- House key for when I am dropped off at home and no one is home
- Granola bar. You never know when you might be hungry!
- Wisp toothbrushes (these come with toothpaste already in the brush all you have to do is brush!)
- Sunscreen lotion (I only keep this in here in the spring/summer and sometimes fall)
- EOS lip balm in strawberry sorbet
- My little kit/bag. It has other important things in it.
- What I keep it all in. I have the pattern printed out but have no idea if it is online. If I make it again I will blog about it.
- Hair tie
- Bobby pins
- Collapsable hiar brush with mirror. This isn't the best brush ever, but it does the job!
- Disposable Christmas tree brushes
- Hand sanatizer
- Lotion. We got this one at a hotel once and I refilled it.
- Chapstick. This is in the original flavor/scent. (The wrapper fell off!)
- What I keep it all in. My mom got this in the mail one day. It is from Cosmeceutical Sciences Institute. I have no idea why we got this!
What do you like to keep with you at all times?

April Recap
Note:I did not take this photo |
Highs of the Month:
- Rylan (my brother) turned 12!
- I went to Mall of America twice! Once for a friend's birthday adventure and once for Rylan's birthday adventure.
- I had a sleepover with my best friends for my friend's birthday. (the same friend that had a MOA adventure.
- I finished co-op classes! Summer has begun!
- I got my wisdom teeth out. I guess this could be a high because now I don't have to deal with it. Plus, it went really really well!
- Song: I had a lot of favorites, so I will pick this week's as my overall favorite. Holding Nothing Back by Jesus Culture. Other favorites from the month: Beneath the Waters (I Will Rise) by Hillsong. Almost anything Hillsong Young and Free. (The link goes to their youtube channel.)
- Beverage/Food: Berry Peach smoothie from Caribou. These are almost the same constitency as an icee.
